How Every Servant of God Can Master Effective Evangelism

How Every Servant of God Can Master Effective Evangelism

If you serve in any capacity in ministry, you are called to do the work of an evangelist (2 Timothy 4:5). True ministry is proven by winning souls and helping them grow in faith. Practical steps include making Jesus your focal point, sharing the good news of repentance, salvation, heaven and hell. Build relationships by being friendly, culturally sensitive and diplomatic in your approach. Follow up regularly to encourage new believers and keep them strong in the Spirit. Endure afflictions without fear of rejection or embarrassment. Rely on prayer before, during and after each outreach. Use every opportunity—face-to-face, street, marketplace or online—to share your testimony, minister healing and lead others to genuine faith. Practice what you preach and trust God to reward your labor.

The guide highlights focusing on Jesus and salvation first, but it seems to overlook the importance of ongoing discipleship and mentorship.

I agree; teaching new believers about discipleship and offering mentorship helps them grow beyond the initial salvation experience.

Begin each outreach by listening to someone's story, then tailor your evangelism approach to meet their unique experiences and spiritual needs.
