Adamawa LG Polls: PDP Wins All 21 Chairmanships and 226 Councillorship Seats

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured every seat in Adamawa State’s local government elections, claiming all 21 chairmanship posts and all 226 councillor positions. Mohammed Umar, chairman of the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), announced the clean sweep at the commission’s Yola headquarters after collating results from across the state. The declaration came in the presence of security personnel, election observers, party representatives and ADSIEC commissioners. Umar did not reveal the total votes cast during the exercise. He praised the peaceful conduct of voters and thanked security agencies and stakeholders for their role in delivering a smooth electoral process.
