NDC Eti-Osa Primary Marred by Alleged Card Swapping and Thugs
The NDC House of Representatives primary for Eti-Osa Federal Constituency has stalled amid claims of procedural changes and security lapses. Voting was set for Eden Park Estate, Abraham Adesanya Football Field and Obalende Police Barracks Cooperative Ground. Abrupt shifts from an online accreditation to in-person voting triggered chaos as long-planned processes collapsed. Hon. Fawumi Kayode Abiodun (FKA) faulted the exercise, describing forced gate openings and the influx of unknown individuals as breaches of party guidelines. He alleged identity duplication and irregular voter verification undermined the election’s credibility. Several other aspirants echoed calls for a thorough review, accusing party insiders linked to the sitting representative of influencing the outcome and breaching internal democracy standards.
