After 105 Days in Captivity, Three ECWA Worshippers Return Safely to Omugo
Families and residents of the Omugo community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State rejoiced as three women abducted from ECWA Omugo church regained their freedom after 105 days in captivity. The President of the Omugo Development Union described the moment as one of mixed emotions. He praised God for answering prayers and mourned the five worshippers who died while in the kidnappers’ den. He also thanked security agencies — including the police, DSS, military and local vigilantes — for the coordinated operation along the Kwara-Kogi border that led to the rescue. Community leaders are now urging displaced residents to return home under enhanced security measures.
