Summit University Charging Graduates Twice for Transcripts: What’s Going On?

Summit University Charging Graduates Twice for Transcripts: What’s Going On?

I am deeply frustrated by an unfair practice at Summit University. After our top-up programme, we applied for transcripts and each paid ₦10,000 for processing and forwarding to other institutions. We thought everything was settled. Now, ahead of convocation, the school demands an additional ₦15,000 for the same service. When we asked for an explanation, we were told to pay again or go without our documents. This feels like exploitation. We need transparency and accountability from university management. I call on the relevant authorities to investigate and encourage fellow students to speak up against these duplicate charges.

Has anyone else experienced Summit University demanding additional fees for transcripts after we already paid ₦10,000 for processing?

I completely agree, this extra fee demand feels unfair after we already paid for processing.

It feels odd that a university would invoice students twice for the same document without any clear policy or explanation.

Maybe the extra charge covers different services we didn't notice before, rather than an outright scam.

We should ask the university bursary for a written breakdown of all transcript fees before making any more payments.
