Hope vs Accountability: What Should Nigerians Demand from Leaders?

Hope vs Accountability: What Should Nigerians Demand from Leaders?

Good day, everyone. I’m a 26-year-old Nigerian who, like many young people, dreams of a better future for our country. Every four years, we hear the same promises about infrastructure, jobs, security, and a brighter tomorrow. Yet the cycle repeats with little change, even when familiar faces return to power. So I ask: should we keep chasing hope, or should we demand real answers from those elected to serve us? Hope is sweet when nothing else remains, but accountability is our right when leaders take an oath and draw a salary with our mandate. What do you think? Share your thoughts.
