Eight Arrested After Man Beaten and Buried Alive in Benue’s Tse-Bata Community
Eight people have been arrested for allegedly beating a 32-year-old man and burying him alive in Tse-Bata community, Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State. The attack occurred around 5:30 p.m. on April 27, 2026. Victim Nyamkyegh Mpalegh was reportedly assaulted before being buried under still-unclear circumstances. A security team was mobilised after residents raised the alarm. Authorities later exhumed the body for a post-mortem and have vowed to bring all those responsible to justice as investigations continue.
