She says she was named a witness after the family’s lawyer alleged non-cooperation. This case centers on allegations that Winifred’s father, Andrew Ogbuja, and her brother, Victor Ogbuja, sexually abused Ochanya while she lived with them to attend school. Andrew was acquitted in 2022, but Ochanya’s aunt was convicted of negligence in the tragic 2018 case. Social media users accused Winifred of knowing about the abuse, citing an old video in which Ochanya claimed her cousin witnessed the attacks.
