Florida Pastor Arrested Over Alleged Abuse of 14-Year-Old and HIV Non-Disclosure

A Florida pastor, Timothy Chaneyfield, has been arrested over allegations that he sexually abused a 14-year-old boy and failed to disclose his HIV status. Investigators said the pair met through a dating app and later communicated on Instagram. Chaneyfield is accused of picking the boy up on three occasions, taking him to his home and engaging in sexual activity with him. Police say he allegedly admitted to sexual contact with the minor. Authorities also said another man reported having sexual contact with Chaneyfield without being told that he was HIV-positive. The child received medical treatment intended to prevent infection. Chaneyfield faces charges including lewd battery of a minor, travelling to meet a minor, HIV-related disclosure offences and drug possession. He is being held on bond exceeding $350,000.
