Toddler Dies After Being Left Alone with Siblings for 12 Hours

Authorities in Georgia have charged 37-year-old Sherry Magby with six counts of second-degree child cruelty after she allegedly left six young children unsupervised for 12 hours. A 10-year-old sibling was left in charge of five younger children, all under eight years old. Police reports describe unsanitary conditions, foul odour and no adequate food in the home. Warrants state that one-year-old victim resorted to eating roaches and ants. A Georgia Department of Human Services spokesperson confirmed the child’s death and extended condolences to the family.
