Falana Urges Gbajabiamila to Step Aside Amid PFIPC Fraud Allegations
Human rights lawyer Femi Falana calls on the Chief of Staff to step aside and allow a full investigation into alleged fraud involving the unrecognized Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) and its self-styled director general, Adeniyi Adeyemi. Falana highlighted how PFIPC, never created by law, was inserted into the 2026 appropriation act, allocated N24 billion and granted Central Bank accounts even after Gbajabiamila denied any knowledge when forged appointment letters surfaced. Adeyemi now faces charges of forgery, impersonation and obtaining by false pretence. Adeyemi insists on his innocence and demands an independent panel. Falana insists the presidency must explain these anomalies and clear the way for a transparent inquiry in the national interest.
