Roger Federer Reportedly Loses $74m as On Shares Fall 19%

Roger Federer has reportedly lost at least $74 million after Swiss sportswear company On Holding's shares fell 19 per cent following weaker-than-expected sales. Forbes estimates that Federer, who owns about a 2.5 per cent stake in On, still has a net worth of roughly $1.35 billion. The share decline therefore does not appear to have taken him out of billionaire status. The 20-time Grand Slam champion joined On in 2019 as an investor and fashion consultant. His wealth also includes more than $130 million in career prize money and major endorsement earnings.

Do people see this as a temporary market setback, or a bigger concern about On's sales outlook going forward?

A 19 per cent share drop is sharp, but the report also says Federer's estimated net worth remains around $1.35 billion.

Calling it a $74 million loss may overstate things if those shares were not sold; market value can move back up.

The useful thing to watch next is whether On improves sales in later reports, not just the immediate reaction to one update.
