Access Bank Warns of WhatsApp Scam Impersonating Its Chairman
Scammers are posing as Aigboje Aig-Imoukhuede, Chairman of Access Holdings, to lure victims into a fake investment group on WhatsApp. They’ve even used his photo and set up a group called “Value Focus Club 60” with the number +234 915 708 8290 to appear legitimate. Access Bank confirms the Chairman does not operate any WhatsApp investment forum. The bank never offers financial advice through WhatsApp, and any claim otherwise is false. A whistleblower alerted the company, which is taking steps to shut down the bogus group. If you see any invitation or message from that number or group, do not join or share personal or banking details. Block and report the number on WhatsApp. Inform friends and family to help prevent them from falling victim to this scam.
