Troops Foil Borno Kidnap Attempt, Kill 12 Terror Suspects in Fresh Operations

Nigerian troops have foiled an attempted kidnapping in Mirnga village, Biu LGA of Borno State, and killed 12 suspected terrorists during air operations in Chiralia, Damboa LGA. The military said troops also arrested suspected terrorist collaborators in Borno and Adamawa. One suspect was accused of supplying food and intelligence on troop movements, while two primed hand grenades found in Adamawa were safely destroyed. Elsewhere, troops in Plateau recovered 178 livestock allegedly abandoned by armed herders in Riyom LGA. In Rivers, Operation Delta Safe uncovered a 110-metre illegal pipeline in Okarki Forest, Ahoada East LGA.
