LSSTF Launches New Intelligence Unit with Confidential Security Tip Lines
The Lagos State Security Trust Fund has rolled out an Intelligence Unit to strengthen collaboration between residents and security agencies. Two messaging-only lines have been introduced to receive videos, photos and audio evidence from the public. Speaking at a press briefing in Ikeja, LSSTF CEO Dr Ayodele Ogunsan explained that this initiative will deepen intelligence-led policing in Lagos. The dedicated lines are strictly for sending digital information, not emergency calls. Ogunsan said the platform will bridge communication gaps and support informed operational decisions. He urged citizens to submit only credible intelligence and warned that false reports could hinder security efforts. All information will be handled confidentially, with measures in place to protect informants. This partnership-driven approach aims to reinforce Lagos’s overall security architecture.
