Tinubu Unveils Abuja City Walk Experience Centre, Declares Nigeria Open for Business

Tinubu Unveils Abuja City Walk Experience Centre, Declares Nigeria Open for Business — 1 of 4
1 / 4

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has launched the Abuja City Walk Experience Centre, ending a 30-year stalemate on the Abuja Technology Village corridor. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, he described the new facility as a “window to a multi-billion-dollar future” under his Renewed Hope Agenda. The development along the Abuja Airport Expressway now holds Free Trade Zone status to attract premium retail, high-end hospitality, medical tourism and a Google Tech Village. FCT Minister Nyesom Wike drove land administration reforms to clear decades of bureaucratic delays and fraud. Spanning 250 hectares, the mixed-use district will feature luxury residences, five-star hotels, commercial towers, a Knowledge Park with two universities, healthcare facilities and West Africa’s largest indoor arena. Authorities say it will generate tens of thousands of jobs and position Abuja as a global commerce and innovation hub.

Labeling it a "window to a multi-billion-dollar future" seems overly optimistic without clear investor guarantees or detailed follow-up plans.
