Landlord and Tenant Arrested Over Serial Rape of Wife and Minor Daughter in Gujarat
A labourer and his landlord were arrested in Morbi, Gujarat after allegations that the landlord repeatedly raped the tenant’s wife and minor daughter in exchange for unpaid rent. The family moved to Morbi six months ago and paid Rs 2,000 monthly rent. As payments fell behind, the landlord demanded sexual favours to waive the debt. The tenant agreed, and the landlord exploited the woman and later forced the daughter into abuse at various locations. The woman’s maternal grandfather uncovered the scheme and filed a complaint. Police charged both men under stringent provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. A third suspect remains at large as investigations continue.
