New York Man Allegedly Kills Parents Weeks After They Paid His $10,000 Bail
A 35-year-old New York man allegedly shot and killed his parents weeks after they paid $10,000 to secure his release from jail, police said. He later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police found the bodies of the man and his parents, aged 72 and 76, inside their Madison home on August 7. Officers reportedly noticed a strong smell of propane or gasoline and recovered a gun from the property. The man had recently been charged with strangulation, assault and firearms-related offences following an alleged attack on his girlfriend. He had also reportedly been barred from possessing firearms. Police said they had previously responded to a domestic dispute involving him and his father in 2024, though no charges were filed.
