Six-Month-Old Baby Saved from House Fire in Ogbomoso North

Six-Month-Old Baby Saved from House Fire in Ogbomoso North

On Saturday night, the Oyo State Fire Service received a distress call about a fire at a private residence in Olomi Compound, Ogbomoso North. Firefighters led by PFS II Oluwaleye arrived promptly to tackle the blaze. The ground floor of the one-storey building, which comprises three rooms, was engulfed in flames. The crew extinguished the fire quickly and prevented it from spreading to the upper floor and neighboring homes. A six-month-old baby was rescued alive from the inferno. The Special Adviser on Fire Reform attributed the outbreak to an unattended gas leak. Fire officials also conducted a brief safety session, urging regular inspection and proper installation of LPG cylinders and gas appliances.
