FOSAD Demands Reinstatement of Nurse Who Exposed Uwani Health Centre Decay

FOSAD Demands Reinstatement of Nurse Who Exposed Uwani Health Centre Decay

The Forum of South-East Academic Doctors (FOSAD) is alarmed by the indefinite suspension of Joy Ezeugwu, a student nurse at Ezzy College of Nursing. Her viral video revealed that Uwani Health Centre operates without electricity, water supply or oxygen equipment. These are basic requirements for safe patient care. We call on Governor Peter Mbah to reinstate Joy without prejudice. We also urge a full investigation into the centre’s infrastructure and immediate remedial action. This matter reflects a wider crisis in our healthcare system. Nigerians’ lives depend on well-functioning facilities and the courage of those who speak out for reform.

The health centre needs backup generators, clean water systems, and functional oxygen machines before another student speaks up publicly.
