Iran Threatens Bahrain and UAE Hotels Hosting US Troops

Iran has issued an ultimatum to hotel owners in Bahrain and the UAE. It warned that any property hosting US military personnel could become a legitimate target, according to Fars Agency citing regional media reports. The warning follows US forces moving into civilian facilities after recent Iranian missile strikes and allied militant attacks on American bases across the Middle East. Fars says the order applies immediately to all hotels and offices sheltering foreign troops. Iran’s foreign minister echoed the threat on social media, accusing US soldiers of hiding behind Gulf civilians as "human shields." He urged hoteliers to refuse bookings by US personnel, drawing a parallel with American restrictions on risky reservations. Tensions rose after joint Israel–US strikes in late February killed Iran’s then-supreme leader and top commanders. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks on US and Israeli bases and tightened controls in the Strait of Hormuz.
