PFIPC Scandal: Atiku Accuses Tinubu of Complicity or Absenteeism

In a fresh statement, Atiku Abubakar challenged President Tinubu over the alleged PFIPC scandal. He says attempts to shield the President’s Chief of Staff have only deepened suspicion. Atiku highlighted billions of naira inserted into an out-of-school children agency for road projects. He called it a cruel betrayal of vulnerable children and questioned how the National Assembly approved such distortions. He demanded a transparent, independent investigation and asked why no one has faced prosecution. According to him, these irregularities expose a culture of impunity and threaten public trust in governance.

How convincing do you find Atiku's claim that Tinubu and his chief of staff are shielding funds from that out-of-school children agency?

It's interesting that this massive fund diversion only comes to light now, after so many months under Tinubu's administration.

While these are serious allegations, Atiku's criticism sometimes feels like political theater rather than a push for real accountability.

The best way forward may be setting up an independent audit of that children's agency funds to ensure transparency for everyone.
