KASA Clinches MILO Cup as Dokubo-Asari Unveils Five-Year Transformation Plan
At the 26th Nestlé MILO Secondary Schools Basketball Championship in Lagos, King Amachree Sports Academy (KASA) from Obuama staged a stunning 56-54 comeback to dethrone defending champions and claim the boys’ national title. In the girls’ division, Government Secondary School Gboko secured a convincing 68-36 victory. Founded by Alhaji Mujahid Abubakr Dokubo-Asari, KASA marked its seventh year in the tournament with a historic triumph. The win highlights years of investment in youth development through sports and education at the Rivers State academy. To build on this success, KASA has launched a five-year strategic partnership with EEXSport Digital Company Limited under veteran sports professional Emeka Enyadike. The collaboration will drive technical management, operational growth, educational enhancement and global athlete pathways. The transformation rests on six pillars—academic excellence, sports excellence, leadership development, international opportunities, community impact and financial sustainability. The goal is to create a holistic “Play, Study and Progress” model that nurtures champions, scholars and leaders for Nigeria and beyond.
