AIG Jimoh Insists Officers Must Pay Fares, Warns Against Extortion

During a National Police Day sensitisation at Obalende Garage, AIG Zone 2 Command Mr. Jimoh stressed that all officers must pay commercial vehicle fares before boarding. He urged a partnership with the public based on respect, not force. Jimoh warned against any abuse of authority and confirmed zero tolerance for extortion or unprofessional conduct. He encouraged citizens to report harassment or misconduct directly to his office. Drivers were advised to avoid confrontations and use proper channels for grievances. On road safety, Jimoh warned against speeding, drunk driving and substance abuse. He reminded motorists to maintain roadworthy vehicles and practice patience and discipline at all times.
