Edo Queens Secure Second NWFL Crown After Goalless Draw
Edo Queens were crowned champions of the Nigeria Women Football League for the 2025/26 season after holding Bayelsa Queens to a 0-0 draw in their final Super Six playoff match in Port Harcourt. The Benin City–based side finished top of the standings with 10 points from five games. They claimed the NWFL title for the second time in their history. Bayelsa Queens ended the competition in second place with eight points. Nasarawa Amazons also missed out after a 0-0 draw against Rivers Angels in their final playoff fixture.
