Katsina Wife Arrested for Attempted Murder After Knife Attack on Sleeping Husband

The Katsina State Police have detained 23-year-old Sadiya Lawal for allegedly attacking her husband, Jamilu Ibrahim, with a knife while he slept at their home. The victim reported the assault to the Central Market Division around 9:00 AM, suffering a deep neck cut. He was rushed to a nearby hospital and is now responding well to treatment. Police recovered the knife and have kept Lawal in custody pending charge. In a separate operation, officers foiled an armed bandit attack in Dandume LGA after suspects travelling on motorcycles opened fire. The attackers fled, abandoning two bikes and a machete. The Commissioner of Police praised the response teams and urged residents to reject domestic violence and report suspicious activity immediately.
