2023 Election Disappointment: Why I May Never Vote Again

My experience in Nigeria’s 2023 election was deeply disappointing. I invested time and hope only to feel my vote didn’t matter. I grew up loving this country, but I now see deep disunity and leaders who ignore our future. The ideals of our independence fighters seem distant under imported laws and rigid beliefs. Today, power rests with a small elite. It feels like only a fraction of Nigerians shape our country’s destiny, leaving the masses without real influence.
