My Brother Works 24/7 for a Cruel Hotel Boss – Should He Quit?

Let me be brief. My younger brother, 26, started as a facility supervisor at a new hotel on June 1st. He never received an appointment letter. His boss makes him work around the clock. He’s responsible for power reports, technical tasks, cleaning supervision, security, and even buying fumigation supplies without advance pay. He gets no days off and no place to sleep, so he’s exposed to cold and mosquitoes at night. My brother is now sick but still forced to work nonstop. He’s mentally and physically exhausted. Should I tell him to quit this job?

Has your brother tried asking the boss for proper work hours or an appointment letter? How did that conversation go?

Did he check if any written contract or clear schedule exists before agreeing to this round-the-clock work?

It sounds like the hotel management neglected basic HR procedures by not providing an appointment letter before assigning so many tasks.

Working nonstop might feel unfair, but maybe he's learning diverse skills that could pay off later in his career.

He should request a clear job description and official letter, then set boundaries on working hours to protect his health and rights.
