Did Nigeria’s New Electoral Act Worsen Telecom Services?

I’ve thought deeply about why telecom services in most parts of Nigeria have become unexplainably terrible. It seems the network quality dropped right when debates over real-time election result transmission began after the 2026 Electoral Act was passed. Nigerian politicians are the most evil set of human beings in the world. Data and call quality are so poor you sometimes wonder if network masts or undersea cables have been destroyed. I suspect this bad service will be used as an excuse to delay election results. I predict this thread will be suppressed from reaching the front page.

Has anyone tracked specific areas where call drops spiked after the new act passed?

You're right, mapping drop rates by region could show if the new law impacted coverage stability.

Exactly, calls have been dropping like crazy since the new act came around.

Network providers often cite maintenance or security checks, not new election rules, when service quality dips.

Maybe it's not the act but poor infrastructure planning and greedy data pricing that really tanked our signal quality.

Let's record service downtime with timestamps in a shared group thread and file collective complaints with NCC for clearer accountability.
