1 / 7

Human skill development in any nation is key for economic growth. In relation to this, to commemorate the World Youth Skills Day (WYSD 2022) Leaving Limits Network partnered with Gift A Child Initiative for a 3 day Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Program (SAEP) 15th - 17th July 2022 at Ijora-Badia community, Lagos State, Nigeria. At the SAEP, about 100 participants which were mainly young people were taught the following: Bag Making Baking Shoe Making Soap Making etc... Participants were excited and very willing to learn and off course they got they were equipped with the skills. Infact before the end of the SAEP, some student had already started making items they were taught by themselves. At day 2 of the event, a participant came with a self made bag. At the end of the SAEP, certificate of participation was awarded to participants. We believe that with this Skill Acquisition and Empowerment Programs, there will be increase in employment opportunities and crime reduction in our societies. #WYSD #SAEP #LeavingLimitsNetwork
