‘Economic Hardship Drove Me’: Suspected Drug Dealer Arrested by Agbor Vigilantes
Members of Agbor Gha-Ihun Security Outfit apprehended Isioma Anthony, a 27-year-old from Ndokwa West, during a routine patrol at about 2:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14. They handed him over to the NDLEA Agbor Command for further investigation. Authorities recovered 40g of crack cocaine, 240g of cannabis sativa, 12g of heroin and 17g of methamphetamine from the suspect. His arrest highlights ongoing efforts to curb drug-related crime in Ika South. Anthony pleaded for forgiveness, blaming the nation’s economic hardship and the struggle to survive for driving him into the illicit drug trade. Chief Sunny Ibude, chairman of the Agbor Gha-Ihun outfit, warned youths and cultists to quit criminal activities or face the full wrath of the law. He reaffirmed his team’s commitment to collaborating with law enforcement to keep Agbor Kingdom safe.
