NUJ and DSS Strengthen Partnership for Responsible Reporting Ahead of Osun Election

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Osun State Council paid a courtesy visit to the Department of State Services (DSS) in Osun to boost collaboration on security and ethical journalism. DSS State Director Victor Edet praised the media’s role in shaping public perception and warned against fake news and sensational reporting. He urged the NUJ to organise capacity-building trainings for members to ensure accurate reporting as the governorship poll approaches. NUJ Chairman Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin said the visit would help address challenges journalists face during elections and enhance overall security in the state.
