Mr Emmanuel Maiguwa, President of the Maritime Academy Alumni in Oron, praised Minister Adegboyega Oyetola’s leadership during a courtesy visit in Abuja. He commended the new National Policy on Marine and Blue Economy as a landmark framework for sustainable development, investment and inter-agency collaboration. Maiguwa also applauded the quarterly Stakeholders and Citizens Engagement Summit for fostering inclusive dialogue on sector challenges. He urged protection of the Academy’s specialised training mandate to ensure a steady supply of certified maritime professionals and formally invited the minister to keynote the alumni’s November convention.
