Late-Night Crash at Sango-Ijoko Kills Tricycle Rider, Injures Two
At about 10:10 p.m. on Friday, June 26, a TVS commercial tricycle (EPE 44 QM) ploughed into the rear of a stationary HOWO truck (AAA 457 YF) at Alasia bus stop on the Sango-Ijoko road in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA of Ogun State. Eyewitnesses say the rider’s blurred vision prevented him from seeing the parked truck, leading to the collision. The rider died on the spot, while his two passengers sustained varying injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital by a Good Samaritan. Officers from the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) and PAPA OSCAR emergency responders arrived shortly after. They towed the damaged vehicles to their yard, cleared the scene and restored normal traffic flow. The deceased was moved to the Ifo morgue for further procedures.
