Why God’s Will Led Paul Back to Jerusalem Despite the Warnings

Yes. God willed Paul’s return to Jerusalem. The Holy Spirit bound him to that path even though prophets foretold suffering. In Acts 20:22–24, Paul says he is “bound in the Spirit” and aware that bonds and afflictions await him, but he remains determined to finish his course. Acts 21:11–14 records Agabus’s prophecy and the believers’ plea. Paul declares his readiness to die there and submits, “The will of the Lord be done.” In Acts 23:11, the Lord reassures Paul that he must testify in Jerusalem before bearing witness in Rome.
