Police Bust 'One-Chance' Armed Robbery Syndicate in FCT
The Nigeria Police Force’s Force Intelligence Department Special Tactical Squad (FID-STS) has arrested two wanted suspects linked to the notorious “One-Chance” armed robbery gang. David Francis (22) and Emmanuel Ibenni, aka Markfish (36), were arrested on March 8 at Sambec Hotel in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, following actionable intelligence. Preliminary investigations show the syndicate posed as commercial drivers to lure, rob, and assault unsuspecting passengers. Police spokesperson DCP Anthony Placid confirmed the suspects have been tied to multiple abductions and robberies, which sometimes ended in victims’ deaths. Several survivors have identified them in ongoing investigations. Authorities say efforts continue to apprehend other members of the syndicate and recover stolen property.
