Why Nigerian Politicians Fear a Well-Informed Youth
Many politicians rely on empty promises and emotional appeals. They dread a youth that understands history, economics, media tactics, and civic power. An informed young person no longer trades a vote for rice, tribal sentiment, or temporary handouts. They begin to ask hard questions about budgets, bad roads, unstable electricity, and widening inequality. As long as citizens struggle daily, there’s little time for deep scrutiny. Poverty distracts, tribalism divides, religion manipulates, and entertainment offers escape. But awareness breaks these chains. When young Nigerians unite around facts instead of slogans, competence instead of connections, and accountability instead of emotions, real political change follows.
