Dino Melaye Warns Tinubu Against Taking 2027 Political Support for Granted

Former Kogi West senator Dino Melaye has warned President Bola Tinubu against assuming that political endorsements guarantee electoral success ahead of 2027. Melaye cited former military ruler Sani Abacha, who was backed by all five registered political parties during the transition programme before his death in 1998. He said Abacha appeared set to become a civilian president without a contest. In a post on X, the ADC chieftain said there is a “God factor” in human affairs and told Tinubu to be cautious.
