Lateef Jakande Academy Launches Grassroots YOU-LEAD Training in Ibeju-Lekki
The Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy has teamed up with Ibeju-Lekki Local Government to take its YOU-LEAD youth programme directly to the grassroots. Today’s two-day workshop at NJS Royale Event Centre brought together young people from across the area for intensive leadership and personal development training. Speaking on behalf of the Executive Chairman, the Supervisor for Youths and Sports Development described the initiative as “not just another training, but a deliberate and strategic investment in the future of Ibeju-Lekki and Lagos State at large.” He praised the Academy’s effort to make quality leadership and emergency response skills accessible beyond the city centre. Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, Executive Secretary of the Academy, thanked the local government for its support and urged participants to seize this opportunity to transform their communities. The YOU-LEAD curriculum covered communication, public speaking, teamwork, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, financial literacy and emergency response skills, highlighting both governments’ commitment to youth empowerment across the state.
