I’m 29 and I met my 20-year-old girlfriend in February 2026. She lost both parents a few years ago. Last October, she was raped in Abuja while at work. After a month of dating, she missed her period and tested three weeks pregnant. We tried to terminate the pregnancy because we weren’t ready for a child. By April 2026, her belly was much larger. A new scan showed she was six months along. The doctor said it’s too late for an abortion. She confided the baby belongs to her rapist, whom she doesn’t even know.
