SE & SS Student Union Presidents Honour EBSU VC for Campus Reforms

SE & SS Student Union Presidents Honour EBSU VC for Campus Reforms — 1 of 3
1 / 3

Student union presidents from institutions across the South-East and South-South gathered to honour Ebonyi State University Vice Chancellor Professor Michael Ugota Awoke for his leadership and educational reforms. Awoke credited Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s unwavering support, along with the university’s governing council and Pro-Chancellor Most Rev. Dr. Abraham Nwali, for restoring peace and driving recent achievements on campus. The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Dean of Student Affairs and the SUG President of EBSU, Comrade Chika Abraham Nwuho, praised the ceremony as a demonstration of unity. They highlighted improvements in staff welfare, student welfare and campus security under Awoke’s tenure. Visiting leaders from Federal Polytechnic Nekede and other institutions confirmed the award was based on verified impact rather than politics. The gathering underscored the commitment of emerging leaders to collaboration and national development.

Union leaders could publish a simple report detailing each reform's timeline and student feedback for broader transparency.
