US Mission Celebrates Nigerian WWE Star Oba Femi After Reported Brock Lesnar Victory

The United States Mission in Nigeria has congratulated Nigerian-born WWE star Oba Femi after his reported victory over Brock Lesnar at WWE SummerSlam 2026. The mission said Femi’s success shows what can happen when talent, discipline and opportunity come together. It added that the United States provides platforms for ambitious people in sports, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and entertainment. Oba Femi, born Isaac Odugbesan in Lagos, moved to the United States for athletics before joining professional wrestling. The former shot-put athlete entered WWE through its Next In Line programme and has since won the NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament and the NXT North American Championship. His win over Lesnar has further raised his profile as one of Nigeria’s biggest names in international professional wrestling.
