Frank Edoho Questions Who Can Afford Lagos’ Soaring Luxury Home Prices

Media personality Frank Edoho has criticised the high cost of luxury homes in Lagos, arguing that prices appear disconnected from Nigeria’s economic reality. Speaking on a recent episode of The KK Show, he compared a $1.5 million mansion in Osapa with the reported $1.7 million cost of a private island owned by Leonardo DiCaprio. He questioned why homes in an area he said lacks adequate drainage are priced so highly. Edoho also asked who can afford such properties when wages remain low and the naira is weak. He suggested that diaspora buyers, public officials and other wealthy groups may be driving demand for high-end Lagos real estate.
