Ireti Doyle Turns 59: Actress Thanks God as Celebs Flood Her with Wishes
Ireti Doyle marked her 59th birthday on Sunday with a series of photos in a bright yellow dress. She thanked her Maker for entering the “last chapter of the 5th decade,” writing, “Oluwa seun, lopo lopo!” Fellow Nollywood stars joined the celebration online. Bimpe Akintunde hailed her “Taurus queen,” Michelle Dede cheered “Sexy mama,” and Joke Silva expressed surprise at Doyle’s new milestone. Adesua Etomi, Kunle Remi and others also sent heartfelt blessings. Earlier this year, Doyle took a break from social media, calling the online world too toxic for her quiet soul. She also shared a throwback from her very first film set, describing a diverse and colourful journey into Nollywood. In early 2024, the veteran actress revealed she survived a near-fatal carbon monoxide poisoning. Found unconscious in her car, she credits divine intervention for her rescue. Doyle also explained why she still bears her husband’s surname after nearly 30 years.
