Should the Marriage Registry Also Handle Divorces in 21 Days?

I just had an idea. If a couple can register a marriage in 21 days, they should be able to file for divorce in the same period. The registry would process the divorce notice just as it does the marriage notice and issue a certificate at the end. This would cut lengthy, costly court proceedings and leave judges to settle disputes over assets or custody. It would give people a simple, fair way to exit an unhappy marriage. It might also reduce domestic violence and make couples think twice before tying the knot. What do you think?
