Sowore Brands Tinubu a “Failed Traitor” on Release from Kuje Prison
The African Action Congress presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore accused President Bola Tinubu of being a “failed traitor” as he left Kuje Correctional Centre following a brief remand. A Federal High Court granted Sowore N200 million bail under strict conditions, including two sureties—a traditional ruler and an Abuja property owner—and the surrender of his international passport. He was originally remanded on June 22, 2026, after calling Tinubu a criminal during a court appearance. Posting on X, Sowore said prison had only strengthened his resolve. “Leaving Kuje Prison after being unjustly incarcerated by the failed traitor to the Nigerian people, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his regime. Prison has never broken the resolve of those who fight for justice,” he wrote, adding, “The struggle continues. We will never surrender. #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027.”
