Mary Njoku Warns: “Hospitality Isn’t for Those Who Enjoy ‘Premium Wickedness’”
Nollywood actress Mary Njoku took to Instagram to urge anyone who thrives on ‘premium wickedness’ or witchcraft to steer clear of hospitality roles. She highlighted that jobs in restaurants, hotels, front desks, and visa centres demand patience, professionalism, and a warm attitude. For those lacking these qualities, she suggested back-office or storekeeping positions where customer interaction is minimal. Mary also called on cleaners to respect celebrities’ privacy, especially when they are using the bathroom. She reminded everyone that offering unwanted help at the door can be intrusive and unfair to the stars they admire. Beyond hospitality, Mary encouraged people to stop outsourcing their happiness and to prioritize self-love. She stressed that happiness is an inside job and shouldn’t be left in the hands of others. She also criticized the trend of overly polished CVs, noting how many resumes read like marketing documents rather than honest reflections of skills and character. In a broader reflection, the ROK Studios founder questioned whether her generation is focusing on what truly matters or simply chasing distractions. She lamented the growing noise and trivialities competing for our attention and urged a return to meaningful direction in life.
