Two Teenagers Arrested in North London Synagogue Arson
Police confirmed that two teenagers have been arrested over an arson attack on Kenton United Synagogue in Harrow. A 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were taken into custody after a bottle filled with accelerant was thrown through a window, causing significant damage to the medical room. Forensic teams worked at the scene overnight. Officers also reported that bins outside a nearby communal block were set alight on the same evening. Deputy Commissioner Matt Jukes said these arrests bring the total to 15 linked to a series of six incidents targeting Jewish premises, a Jewish-led ambulance service and a Persian media organisation. Investigators are probing claims by a group called Ashab al-Yamin and the possibility of Iranian-backed involvement.
