Political Violence Claims Life of 14-Year-Old Boy in Ilobu, Osun
A 14-year-old boy, Ezekiel Olapade, was shot dead by suspected political thugs at his mother’s palm wine shop opposite the Irepodun Local Government Secretariat in Ilobu, Osun State. The attackers arrived around 3pm in an AMBO-branded vehicle and opened fire, injuring another man who is now hospitalized. His father said the thugs, led by Saheed “Tanfeani,” initially targeted a man wearing a yellow cap before turning their guns on the shop. The boy ran back to help his wife who had fallen and was struck by a stray bullet as they both fled. Osun State police confirmed Ezekiel’s death at the scene and said the six suspects remain at large. A manhunt has been launched to arrest those responsible.
