NULGE Inaugurates Mohammed Inyanya-Led Kogi Executive
The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) has inaugurated its new Kogi State executive following elections held during the union’s 8th Quadrennial State Delegates Conference in Lokoja. Mohammed Inyanya emerged as president, with Bala Ibrahim as deputy president. Other officials include Mohammed Kaka, chairperson of the State Women Committee; Okoliko Musa, treasurer; Umar Yakubu and Kayode Sule, trustees; and Wada Omale, auditor. NULGE President-General Aliyu Kankara urged Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to employ more local government workers and sustain support for civil servants. The governor, represented by labour adviser Onu Edoka, called on council workers to collaborate with the government in addressing insecurity.
